The "camper" rack, simple utilitarian design from $250.

The “Camper” Rack is an adjustable rack designed to fit on almost any bike.  Perfect for carrying camping gear, packages, and deliverables.

Made from 4130 aircraft tubing and stainless steel struts, the “Camper” Rack is also designed to provide years of solid and reliable service.  Struts can be drilled for 5mm quick-release skewers or 9mm solid axles.  The rack itself attaches at the fork crown behind the front brake or using the fender-bolt holes.  Most of the tubing is 100% sealed inside, the rest is treated against rust.  Rack frame is powder coated, and racks are currently available in black only, but colors are available for added price.  $250 includes Paul Comp Gino light mount.

Capricorn Rack Features

10"x14" Platform Without Side Rails

This simple platform design allows you to carry just about anything that can be bungeed to it. A more compact travel version is also available for packing your touring bike for plane travel.

Lightweight, Minimal Design

Unlike some front racks I've seen this design is light enough (and pretty enough) that you won't mind it being there, even if you don't use it that often.

Struts Provide Extra Security Against Wheel-Theft

Since the struts fit under rack bolts or skewers a would-be thief would have to completely unscrew and remove these to free up your front wheel. This adds an extra step to the process, which might be enough to lead them to find an easier pick.
