For Sale: Lugged Road Frame and fork with Spectrum Powder Works finish, $2200.

For Sale: Capricorn Con Brio, 54cm “Plussed” Road, $2200.

Fully lugged and brazed with silver, powdercoat by Spectrum Powder Works, built to sell, and ideally suited to someone that doesn’t need the full custom treatment but still wants a distinctively hand-built frame.  I built this frame and fork in tandem with a custom order and wanted to bring it along to the Heartland Velo Show, which it wasn’t ready for in time.  Alas, now it’s ready for pavement whenever you are.  Click here to see the Flickr gallery of this frame and its construction.  “Plussed” means it’s built for medium reach (57mm) brake calipers and fully stocked with fender bosses.  A great set-up for four-season riding.

Capricorn frame features

"Flying Buttress" Fork Crown

A modern, over-sized version of the classic full-slope fork crown design.

Front Derailleur Boss

Set for a height that will work for both Campagnolo and Shimano derailleurs.

Gusseted Rear Brake Bridge

Decorative accents that also stiffen the seat stays for more responsive braking, and disperse the force of the rear brake through more of the thin-walled seat stays.

Handmade Braze-Ons

How distinctive can a hand-built frame be when it gets built with the same parts that everyone else builds with? Many of the braze-ons and even the lugs are hand-hewn or altered for a distinctive look.

Paragon Rear Dropouts

Machined in the CNC orchards of central California. Cut from extremely long-wearing 4140 steel.

STI Stops with Stainless Barrel Adjusters

Hand-altered STI stops paired with indestructable stainless steel cable tensioners.
