Cyclocross bikes have been filling a wider niche since they started making them with luxuries like water-bottle bosses and fender eyelets.
Instead of a minimal race bike, most are sold and used as either light-duty and quick trail bikes or all-season commuting steads. The Con Brio Eprouve is sold with custom options so you can make of it what you will. Frame, fork, and a Spectrum Powder Works finish starts at $2450. Price includes lugged fork of your choice: either straight or curved.
Capricorn frame features
Paul Components Cantilever Brakes
You may as well have the best brakes on your new frame. The stock cantilever studs are cut by Paragon Machine Works for use only with brake arms that don't require spring holes-- though those are optional, of course.
Custom Options
The Eprouve frameset provides a solid foundation for a dedicated race bike and all-season commuter alike. You get to choose what you need from this frame.
Standard Head Tube Diameter
Saves weight and improves the ride. What more do you want? One-inch threadless steerer tube paired to a lightweight and responsive straight-blade fork. (Over-size is an option with curved-blade cross forks or heavier unicrown forks.)
